Your data, kept with you
Privacy policy
Effective 2 November 2026
Still Want is published by simplest.agency. This policy covers the Still Want browser extension and website at stillwant.app, including the original still-want.infatuation.workers.dev address.
Your wishlist reviews and notes are saved in your browser. The extension connects the website to your existing Steam session so you can import your wishlist and apply the cleanup you approve. Still Want does not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.
Information we handle
- Steam account and wishlist information. When you connect or import, Still Want reads your Steam account identifier, display name, wishlisted game IDs, available added dates, game details, and relevant Ignore or Played elsewhere preferences. The extension can read a private wishlist through your signed-in Steam Store tab.
- Your review data. Decisions, personal notes, conditions, comparisons, queues, cleanup approvals, results, and history are stored in account-scoped browser storage. Your theme, queue-size choice, and price currency are also saved locally, along with the country Cloudflare reports for your connection, which picks a default currency. Still Want has no account-based cloud sync for this data.
- Steam session information. The extension uses your existing Steam session and a session/CSRF token inside the Steam page to make the requests you initiate. It does not ask for your Steam password. The token and authentication cookies are not included in the results sent to the Still Want website or its backend.
- Technical request information. Visiting the website and fetching game artwork, prices, or ratings sends normal network information, such as your IP address, browser information, and requested URL, to the service receiving the request.
- Support messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send so we can respond.
How the extension uses access
The extension runs its packaged Steam integration in an existing Steam Store tab in the same browser window. It uses Steam Store access to find the tab, verify the signed-in account, read your wishlist, and send approved cleanup requests. It relays supported requests only from the Still Want website addresses allowed by that build. It does not collect your general browsing history.
Choosing a review decision does not immediately change Steam. Cleanup presents the account and selected games for approval before sending removal or preference requests. The website checks and records the results. Connecting and importing are read operations.
What leaves your browser
Extension import results pass from the Steam tab through the extension to the Still Want page in your browser. Review decisions and notes are not uploaded to a Still Want database. The website does make requests needed to provide its features:
- Public wishlist import: the profile link, vanity name, or SteamID you enter is sent to the Still Want backend and Steam to resolve the account and retrieve its public wishlist.
- Game details, ratings, and prices: requested game IDs and the store country for your selected currency are sent to the Still Want backend and, as needed, Steam and IsThereAnyDeal. These requests can reveal which games you are looking up. Steam artwork and videos are fetched from Steam's content services and delivery networks.
- Steam changes: approved removal and preference requests are sent to Steam using your existing session inside the Steam Store tab.
- Backups: exporting creates a file on your device. Restoring reads the file locally. Sending that file to someone else is your choice.
Service providers and limited use
Cloudflare hosts and secures the website and API. It processes request information needed to deliver and protect the service. Steam provides account, wishlist, game, and rating data; IsThereAnyDeal provides historical price information. Those services handle the requests they receive under their own privacy policies. Support correspondence is also handled by the email services used to send and receive it.
The website also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which adds a performance beacon to collect page-view and loading-performance metrics. Cloudflare describes this service as cookie-free and says it does not fingerprint visitors. This website measurement is separate from the extension's Steam integration; Still Want does not send your review notes or Steam session token to an analytics service. See Cloudflare's Web Analytics documentation.
Still Want uses data only to provide and improve its stated wishlist-review features, maintain security, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell user data, use it for personalized advertising, or transfer it for creditworthiness or lending decisions. The extension includes no advertising trackers or analytics SDKs. Information is shared only as needed with the services described here, at your direction, or when required by law.
Provider policies: Cloudflare, Steam, and IsThereAnyDeal.
Storage and retention
Local review data remains in this browser until you clear the site's storage, replace it by restoring a backup, or your browser removes it. Each website address and browser profile has separate storage. Exported backups remain wherever you save them until you delete them. Earlier versions of the extension may also retain local review data until you remove that extension data.
The backend does not maintain a database of your reviews or notes. It temporarily caches public game prices, ratings, and game-ID mappings in memory, with expiry periods ranging from 15 minutes to seven days depending on the data. Wishlist membership is not cached by the backend. Infrastructure providers may retain technical logs according to their own policies and service settings. We retain support correspondence as needed to handle the request and related operational or legal obligations.
Your choices
Use Settings to export a backup or restore one. To delete all local Still Want information, clear site data for stillwant.app and any other Still Want address you used in your browser's privacy settings, then delete any backup files you no longer want. Reset progress resets review decisions; it does not erase all stored information.
You can disable or uninstall the extension, revoke its site access, or sign out of Steam to stop session access. Removing the extension does not clear the website's separate storage and does not reverse changes already made on Steam. Manage your Steam account and wishlist directly on Steam.
Security and changes
The production website and data requests use HTTPS. Browser storage and downloaded backups are protected by your device and browser settings; Still Want does not add a separate encryption password to them. We may update this policy when the service changes and will update the effective date on this page.
